The following image depicts the little-known* Western Centipede-Mimicking Slime Mold, here seen attempting (with limited success) to take on the form and coloration of a common garden centipede:
But of course none of this actually matters to this puzzle. What does matter is that the above shape can be wrapped onto the surface of a cube in a way that perfectly covers the entire cube with no gaps and no overlaps. How can this be done?
* Little-known because I made it up.
