Design Stack: A Blog about Art, Design and Architecture: Fantasy Creature Sketchbook Drawings

Fantasy expressed in cute creatures and wrapped in sketchbooks. They are depicted using pencils, ink and one digital art drawing.
Dave Mottram drew all of the images you see on this page.
I wish I had seen these drawings and been able to post them before Halloween. There are so many cool hat tips to this fantastic festive celebration.
There is a frog in costume in the first and second picture. “The Raven”. A poem by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. A pumpkin warrior. another pumpkin character accompanied by its winged frog. And the beautiful fantasy strangeness, about the characters, that accompanies this inspiring time of year.
Another being I really like is the grasshopper. It looks so cool and comfortable in its hammock made from a spider’s web. Beautiful details all over this piece, which include the little violin resting right below the insect’s body.
So many more inspiring and inspired drawings to have a look at. I will not keep you a moment longer.
Ps. I gave the images some titles.
