Delightful Collection of Rhymes, Poems, and Songs for Children
A Treasury of Nursery Rhymes and Poems is a collection of various nursery rhymes, songs, and poems that brings us back to favorite characters such as Humpty Dumpty, Little Miss Muffet, Jack and Jill and more. This book has games for playtime, songs for eating, and lullabies for bedtime.
What I Liked: This book contains a multitude of various rhymes, poems, and songs that go through various points throughout the day. The various pieces are grouped together by themes and go from waking in the morning with a rooster to going to bed at night with the stars. The illustrations throughout this book go well with each of the pieces and each piece is of varying length.
This is a great book to pick up at any time of day to share with children whether you are looking to read several pages or just go through a few pieces. The ending of this book contains a index so that you can look for your favorites and quickly turn to those pages.
Final Verdict: A Treasury of Nursery Rhymes and Poems is a delightful anthology full of vibrant illustrations and a variety of rhymes, songs, and poems that children ages 2 and up will enjoy. Adults will be nostalgic as they visit classics and get to share those with the children in their lives. The best part about this book is that it will stand the test of time as many of these are ones that my grandparents are familiar with.
