What I Liked: The book opens by introducing a celebration for the new baby and explaining why they’re a rainbow. While children may not understand the double meaning of this book, it is one that adults will cherish, as they know the struggles they went through to start their own family. The illustrations throughout this book pair well with the rhyming verses and do a great job of comparing how a baby is similar to various weather patterns. It’s fascinating to watch as the baby grows with each page, the various ways they are like weather based on what they do during those stages, and the various families included throughout this book.
