Meowy Christmas By Panos Christodoulou – YA Books Central

About This Book:
One cat, one tree, one Christmas catastrophe…
One December morning, Tiddles the cat wakes to find an unexpected arrival towering over him. It’s big, it’s bushy, and it’s draped in oh-so-tempting tinsel! The humans love their beautiful new Christmas tree, but one kitten is not so smitten. And when the tree’s twinkly lights start to disrupt nap time, Tiddles must take matters into his own claws, once and for all…
Join Tiddles as he faces his biggest (and sparkliest) adversary yet: the Christmas tree! Full of kitty chaos, feline festivities, and laugh-out-loud catastrophes, this hilarious tale captures the magic and mayhem of a kitten’s first Christmas.

Christmas Tree? The cat is suspicious..
What do cats really think about Christmas, anyway? This laugh out loud tale of Tiddles the cat introduces the beloved holiday through a feline’s eyes. This big, shiny tree is clearly suspicious, so Tiddles sets out to investigate – or, chew, claw, and attack. In a curious way, of course.
This book is so much fun. Everyone knows cats and sparkly decorations don’t always end well, but I enjoyed seeing the seasonal destruction through the cat’s perspective. A giant, strange thing has appeared in the home? Seems perfectly reasonable to give it a thorough “inspection.”
The visual storytelling is supported by vibrant illustrations full of cats and text blocks with oversized exclamations and scattered words to match Tiddles’ playful nature.
Pick this up for all the cat lovers looking forward to (and slightly dreading) the next pet-filled holiday celebration.
