Drawing Circular and Elliptical Spaces
When drawing an interior space that is circular or elliptical, such as that of Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza, San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, or Sant’Andrea al Quirinale it is difficult to convey a sense of being surrounded by the spatial enclosure. All one can do is focus on one part of it and gradually vignette the surrounding elements as they envelope you.
